Role
Election Clerks are individuals appointed by the presiding judge to assist in running the election. Election Clerks will receive their working hours and assigned duties from their Vote Centers Presiding Judge. In addition to Election Clerks, we also fill positions of Bilingual and Student Election Clerks.
Responsibilities
- Organizing the polling place before the polls open.
- Ensuring that qualified voters are permitted to vote.
- Checking in and processing registered voters
- Distributing ballots to registered voters.
- Answering voters’ questions.
- Explaining the use of the voting equipment.
- Maintaining order in the polling place on Election Day.
