To vote by mail, you must first request a ballot. The Dallas County Elections Office only sends applications or ballots upon a specific request from the voter.
Eligible voters can use an Application for Ballot by Mail (ABBM) to apply for either a one-time or annual mail ballot, depending on their eligibility. The application is valid for the entire calendar year, but you’ll need to resubmit it if you change your mailing address.
You can start mailing in applications beginning January 1.
